A while ago, I did a character quiz on my character Kiyoshi, an original character from my Naruto fanfiction. This is one of the main characters of my fanfiction, Kaya.

Basics

1)What's your character's name?
Kanzaki Kaya. Dunno what Kanzaki means…it’s a pretty common last name in Japan, I think…but “Kaya” is a type of ornamental grass that is sometimes woven into wreaths and left as offerings in Buddhist shrines. Her first name came from that girl character off of One Piece (my sister was watching 4Kids TV when I thought of it). I had just started writing my fanfiction and couldn’t think of an original-sounding Japanese name for a girl, and that was the first thing that popped into my head. “Kanzaki” was just the first Japanese last name that came to mind and sounded good.

2)How old is he/she?
Around 12-13 at the beginning of the story and 15 during the second part.

3)Is your OC a boy or girl?
A girl.

4)What's his/her race?
Human.

Appearance

1)If this character were to suddenly become part of the 3D world, and ended up in a heavily-populated area, how many stares would he/she get?
Not many, I suppose. She’s pretty, but she doesn’t draw attention to herself through her clothes, makeup (she actually doesn’t wear any), etc.

2)Is your character considered normal in his/her own world?
By most people. She comes off as very shy and a little odd at first due to her at-times extravagantly poetic form of speech.

3)What would be his/her most recognizable feature(s)?
She has pretty dark blue eyes.

4)Would you consider your OC as attractive?
Well…I’m a girl. But to guys, she is. (If they’re not turned off by her personality, which a lot of them are.) One of those select few not turned off by her personality is Uchiha Sasuke.

Personality

1)Temper?
Pretty much non-existent.

2)Does your character ever get depressed?
Yes. She’s also a real worrywart. She worries about everything, and she can’t help wearing her heart on her sleeve. After her parents die, not lapsing continually into depression is hard for her, as it is after her love leaves the village and there is nothing she can do to bring him back.

3)Leader or Follower?
Prefers not to lead, because she isn’t confident in herself and therefore fears she will make mistakes. She wouldn’t make a bad leader though, if she had to be one, as she has strong beliefs which she isn’t afraid to stand up for and is also a good listener.

4)What is the main aspect of his/her personality?
She is demure and poetic.

History

1)Did your OC have a family of any sort? If so, are they still alive?
Yes: her mother was a kunoichi and her father was hunter-nin. They were caught by surprise during a mission and killed by some Sound-nin along with their companions.

2)Is your character out on his/her own? If so, why?
No. She is member of Team 7. (Why that is is a long story-read my fanfiction for more details.)

3)Has he/she encountered any traumatizing events?
Her parents’ deaths.

4)What was probably the best time in his/her life so far?
She had a very happy childhood, but then her parents died…when she became a member of Team 7 and got to know them better though, she knew she had friends in whom she could entrust her very life.

Romance

1)Single?
Sort of…

2)Has your OC developed any romantic relationships?
She and Sasuke kind of have a thing for each other…it’s obvious Kaya at least holds him in high regard, though she’s too shy to ever actually tell him her feelings, and Sasuke obviously goes out of his way to ensure her safety, though he’s too proud to ever tell her of his feelings.

3)Virgin?
HECK YES.

4)Does your character like flirting?
She couldn’t even if she wanted to.

Symbolism

1) What animal would you accociate your OC with? (Sorry, no creatures of myth and legend allowed!)
Her summon is a deer, which fits her well, because she is both shy and noble.

2)Musical Instument?
A flute, because she’d love the subtle nuances of its music and she also would enjoy not having to worry about her mistakes being heard over those of louder instruments, like trumpets.

3)Element?
Though she fights with lightning jutsus, I think she’s a wind/air type of person.

4)Planet?
Venus, maybe? I dunno, Aphrodite/Venus is the Greek/Roman goddess of love and Kaya’s a very idealistic, romantic person, so I guess that’d work.

Showing the Love

1)Do you draw your character?
No, but Plushkittie does. (Look at her deviation “Looking Ahead”.)

2)Do you write about him/her?
That’s where she originated.

3)Do you use him/her in any rpgs?
I’ve never role-played before, but I’d probably use her.

4)What other ways have you appreciated your OC?
When I daydream, sometimes I wonder what things would be like if I were her.

RANDOMIZE!

1)Is your character wanted for anything?
No way; she’s such a goody two-shoes.

2)What are three weaknesses in him/her?
She worries constantly, wears her heart on her sleeve, and is too trusting for her own good.

3)Strengths?
She’s intelligent, works hard, and she is an incredibly loyal friend as well as a good listener. She also writes good poetry.

4)Does your OC drink or smoke (ect.)?
No.

5)What's one quirk about your him/her?
Her unusually extravagant speech. (She lapses into poetry without even realizing it. )

6)Does your character have any phobias?
She’s afraid she will fail those depending on her and herself. And she worries about pretty much everything.

7)What could you do to get him/her into a blind rage?
As I said before, her temper’s pretty much non-existent…you’d have to wear her down over a long period of time to make her really angry.

8)Does your OC like chickens?
I guess so…

The Final Question

What would you consider your relationship with your character to be like?
She’s very, very similar to me, so it’s pretty easy to write about her, because I just have to pretend to be in the situation she’s in. (Though many of the situations she’s been in, I’ve never encountered. )
